《玉支玑校记》补

Abstract

This article is a supplement to an earlier edition of my article, The Yu Zhi Ji research (National University of Singapore, Chinese Department, single issue, 1997). The original text and its edition have been proofread and are not repeated here. For the sake of completeness, other aspects of the text have been covered as far as possible. To the best of my knowledge, I have tried to include as much of the current research on the Yu Zhi Ji as possible, This paper is an attempt to explore the structure of the middle-grade romance subgenre, the psychological depiction of the text, the transformation of omniscience into limited knowledge, and the artistic effect of suspence.
