Abstract

This work presented a new method to extract each of the output power, efficiency, short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, and temperature of the module (Sharp type NU-JC400B), based on the values of the solar radiation falling on the horizontal surface and the maximum temperature, where the horizontal solar radiation was divided by the cosine of the angle of inclination of the module installed in the Ayn al-Tamr, zone which is equal to the latitude angle of 32.58o for this zone. The results indicated that the annual solar radiation incident in Ayn al-Tamr with the horizontal plane was 1718.33kWh/m2/year with an annual peak sun hour (solar fuel) of 4.71. Therefore, the method that we followed for predicting the performance of the solar module proved to be good and achieved results that were very close to the measured results practically, so it is suitable to be generalized as a new method for calculating the performance of any solar module.
